"It wasn't just fireworks that sparkled and lit up the sky at the July 4th Hartsville Family Fireworks Festival. It was also Lesa Hudson and her band who kicked off the holiday event with a bang. She knew just what the crowd of over 5,000 wanted and she gave it to them. With her variety of music and versatile style she had the crowd clapping and singing along with her. At the end of the evening when the fireworks dazzled the summer sky, Lesa performed the national anthem." - Sharman Poplava, President - Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce
“I am honored to recommend Lesa Hudson as a contemporary worship leader. For at least 10 years, Lesa has led contemporary worship services, once a month, at First Church of God in Darlington, SC. We (W/Arts team) had prayed about having contemporary services for a long time and God opened the doors for us to incorporate Lesa into a regular schedule. This had been a dream of hers for a long time also. She began on a small scale with 3 or 4 singers in the praise team, a bass guitarist, a drummer/percussionist, and Lesa on keyboard. Eventually she added a lead guitarist, and two rhythm guitarists. God has really permeated these services as Lesa has chosen new contemporary and older praise songs; occasionally, Lesa has used new arrangements of older hymns, which have been inspirational to young and old alike. She is very talented musically (former piano student of mine) and creative in song writing and other musical avenues. Anyone looking for an inspirational and exciting, as well as worshipful, experience, Lesa is the person who along with God's help, will give a well-rounded worshipful experience in any setting. I highly recommend her for any leadership position in worship and arts. For 3 years, Lesa has directed our Christmas Show at First Church of God with a variety of secular and non-secular Christmas music and comedy. We pray God will continue to use her in His service anywhere she goes. I believe in her as a Christian friend, as an excellent pianist and keyboardist, and all-round leader. Thank you for this opportunity to recommend My Friend, Lesa Hudson.” – Mary Della Anderson, Minister of Music – First Church of God, Darlington, SC
“I know as a person who does music reviews and works as Music Programmer that I shouldn't have my favorites. Sad to say though that I do and Lesa Hudson is one. I have heard the project that this song comes from and am totally impressed. Here's a song that tells us to go ahead and Step Out In Faith and watch God work. I myself like to put my faith out there and watch God do his work. The quality of this singer is something that has been missing in Christian Country for a while. Give it a spin and enjoy the ride with your listeners.” – Review of Step Out In Faith; Jon Clarke, Christian Music Weekly, Sapulpa, OK
“Lesa’s sound is progressive and honest. A lot of times, artists deny their own passions creatively in order to squeeze into a marketplace that’s already crowded with artists doing the same thing. Taking a different road may seem like a harder route, but I applaud Lesa for coming up with a sound that is as commercial as it is unique to Christian music.” -- Kevin Stokes – Songwriter; G3 Productions, Nashville, TN
"Lesa's sound spans from kickin' rock, to moving praise and worship . . . her music is infectious and full of life. And her songs contain the awesome message of God's saving grace--what could be better? Her talent for songwriting rivals any contemporary Christian artists out there today." – Lauren Hunter, Principal – Lauren Hunter Public Relations; musician and worship leader, Roseville, CA
I wanted someone to engage the audience, inspire them and to ensure they were glad to be at my event. Lesa delivered! Her genuine enthusiasm and care of each person in the audience came through. My event was nearly 1000 people and she reached each one from the person in the front row to the person way in the back. She interwove song, meaningful stories and humor all together in a presentation that was more than I could have hoped….and the audience felt the same! I remain thankful to Lesa and look forward to working with her again in the future.” -- John Gilman Jr., Director of Marketing - ACS Technologies, Florence, SC
Fresh, enthusiastic, creative and sensitive is Lesa's worship and ministry! She has a unique way of making other's feel comfortable and relaxed as their souls are refreshed! -- Carol Claypool, Women's Ministry - Carolina Ministries, Rock Hill, SC
“Lesa’s music is anointed and like a breath of fresh air. These days, you have so many singers in all genres that sound alike. Lesa definitely has her own style and distinction and that really impresses me. I have been in gospel music for 40 years and I must say, it is a real joy and treat to hear individuals or groups that have their own distinct style of Music Ministry.” – Tommy D. Mayo, Southern Gospel Outreach, Clarksville, TX
“Finally an upbeat song and from a new artist!! This song takes a look at the person who goes to church and seems to be committed on the outside but during the week it's back to the world’s way. Here's another in your face that makes you look at your Christianity. I love songs and sermons like this!! I look forward to hearing more from this artist. She's one of those talents that have been a well kept secret, that's finally out.” – Review of Lukewarm Christian; Jon Clarke, Christian Music Weekly, Sapulpa, OK |
