After the release of her first solo CD in 2006, singer/songwriter Lesa Hudson quickly gained popularity in Inspirational Country Music circles.  Three of her original songs peaked in the Top 10 on the nationally acclaimed PowerSource Christian Country Top 100 radio chart.  Her song “Step Out In Faith” reached #2 on the chart.  She is a 3-time finalist for ICMA Female Vocalist of the Year, and 2-time finalist for ICMA New Artist of the Year. 

Lesa has performed at some of Nashville’s most legendary venues such as the Acuff Theater, BB Kings (during CMA FanFest), Gibson Guitar Café and Trinity Broadcast Network.  Also a sought after National Anthem singer, Lesa made her national TV debut on Fox-TV performing the national anthem at the 2007 Dodge Avenger 500 at Darlington Raceway.   Lesa is a founding member of Contemporary Christian trio N’Accord, whose distinctive and powerful harmonies brought many opportunities to perform throughout the Southeast.   She is also the Contemporary Worship leader at her church. She has released 5 CD projects and 1 DVD project.

The Lesa Hudson Band features Lesa’s original music along with a variety of cover tunes – a blend of country, soft rock, blues, a little bit of oldies, and Lesa's trademark Inspirational Country and Praise & Worship.   “This band is very special in that we are all related to each other.  That family bond and our genuine friendships add a special chemistry onstage that appeals to audiences of all ages,”  says Lesa.  Without a doubt, The Lesa Hudson Band is a perfect choice for family oriented events, festivals, corporate events, and church events. 

The Rick Strickland Band features the Cammy award winning music of Rick Strickland whose music has been a staple in beach music circles for many years  Lesa joined RSB in 2008, and enjoys the beach, R&B Soul, RockNRoll stylings of Rick's music.  Lesa's versatility as a vocalist shines through in Rick's harmony rich music.  "I love singing harmony, and Rick's vocal arrangements are phenomenal.  I enjoy performing his music and bringing it to life on stage as much as I enjoy singing my own music!"

While Lesa's first love is performing, she is equally passionate about songwriting.  "There's a certain feeling that's hard to describe when someone tells you that your song encouraged them or inspired them in one way or another.  It's the greatest compliment in the world to me.  For me, that's what creating music is all about - to encourage and inspire others," says Lesa.  Lesa's music has received very positive reviews throughout her career, and continues to be heard on radio stations and internet programs worldwide.  Lesa's music is not pigeon-holed.  She's versatile and capable of writing and performing in many different styles from country, to blues, to R&B Soul to rock n roll to praise & worship to edgy pop - yet in each song strong lyrics convey timeless meaning and bring issues we all face to the forefront.  All of which come complete with Lesa's trademark smile!

Lesa is currently writing music for a new CD to be released in 2010 that will be produced by Rick Strickland.  She also continues to write music for worship services and plans to release another worship CD in the near future.
